New Look

When I started this blog, the Blogger template options were all pretty hideous. That has changed, however, and now Blogger has some new (or not so new) features that come with the new (or not so new) templates. So I have finally decided to switch. I may play around with the colors a bit more, but I think I've settled on the basic look. I'm already much happier.

I should have done this a long time ago.

This is actually in reference to the "Mikvah" entry. Do you happen to know what the rabbinic ruling is for a woman's state of niddah if she happens to have irregular spotting?

You mean according to the CJLS teshuvot? Rabbi Grossman does away with the category of zavah, which means that you can ignore spotting. Berkovitz and Reisman maintain it, which means that if the spotting lasts for three days or more, a woman must wait seven days after bleeding stops, then use the mikveh (zavah gedolah). Berkovitz and Reisner differ on the category of zavah ketanah, bleeding for two days or fewer. According to Reisner, one must wait one "clean day" and then use the mikveh. According to Berkovits, one must wait seven "clean days" after any amount of bleeding, or even a stain.

All this applies to uterine bleeding only. If a woman can demonstrate that the blood is not uterine, she need not abstain from sex or use the mikveh (although it is sometimes medically recommended, as after certain gynecological procedures).

When you're happy, I'm happy. Plus I do like the new look, especially the coding, because I just love organization that way.

I haven't played with my templates, since I have gorgeous banners by ~Sarah~
But it's tempting.
